As some of you may already know, the supporters' clubs of nine A-League teams have each formed a "sister club" partnership with a team in the English Nationwide Conference. It all comes down to goofy fun, a way of keeping A-League rivalries alive during the off-season (lest boards such as this one turn to stone until May). Anyway, it's working quite well, and I'd like to encourage Eagles' supporters to get involved. Three of the other clubs in your division (Atlanta, Charleston, and Richmond) have already forged such a partnership. There's two competitions: the league itself, and a "cup" featuring all games played between the adopted sides (similar to the Voyageurs' Cup). The pairings thus far are: Atlanta Silverbacks - Barnet Calgary Storm - Hereford United Charleston Battery - Leigh RMI Montreal Impact - Morecambe Pittsburgh Riverhounds - Woking Portland Timbers - Halifax Town Richmond Kickers - Burton Albion Toronto Lynx - Scarborough Vancouver Whitecaps - Southport If you guys would like to get involved, chat it over with each other, and let us know when you've chosen a Conference club to adopt. We'd like to turn this into a long-term tradition, so hopefully you'll consider joining. Here's a great website about the Conference to wet your appetite (note the clubs list on the upper-right, all with heaps of info): www.confguide.com/Cheers!

Unless someone else wants something else, we can take Chester City! Thanks for filling us in! If anyone else wants another team, just post and we can change it, I really don't care.

The new website of the A-League/Conference Crossover League is now up and running. The website features news, results, tables, and links to all 19 A-League clubs and 22 Conference sides. Have a look: switch.to/crossover
